SICILY Outreach (27 May-5 June, £130, not including flights)

Sicily Outreach Update: we have a team of 12 so far, and are looking for more girls to apply!

Minimum age without a parent/ guardian: 12 years (families with younger children also welcome).

During May half-term we are offering an outreach opportunity in partnership with YWAM Marine Reach and local churches on the Island of Sicily. This outreach tour is called the ‘Festival of Life’ and will focus on reaching the eight major ports of the island through open-air evangelism.  We will be accommodated and sailing with the “Next Wave” reaching out to the port cities of Syracuse and Catania.

(About the Next Wave: In March 2007, Youth With A Mission purchased a 42 metre Sail Training vessel and renamed it s/y Next Wave as a prayer to see the ‘next wave’ of missionaries taking the gospel of Christ to the lost.  YWAM’s maritime arm Marine Reach Ministries operates the vessel which has sailed around the UK and through the Mediterranean right into the Black sea on a number of outreaches.)

CORNWALL Outreach (23 July-8 August, £300 all inclusive)

Minimum age without a parent/ guardian: 10 (families with younger children also welcome)

We will be joining with local churches along the southern coast of Cornwall to reach local communities and holiday makers. We hope to raise the joy level on beaches and in neighbourhoods, using circus, play, drama dance, sport and practical service to connect with families, children and teens.

This outreach is part of a partnership between Soul Survivor and YWAM England this summer. Our preparation weekend (23 – 25th July) will be held at The Oval YWAM base in Harpenden, along with 6 other teams of young people going out into the UK, Europe and beyond. We will all gather back together in Harpenden at the end of outreach (7&8 August) to share the stories of our adventures with God!
